การศึกษาค้นคว้าครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อพัฒนาผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนวิทยาศาสตร์ ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่1เรื่องชั้นบรรยากาศ โดยใช้วิธีสอนแบบเพื่อนช่วยเพื่อน กลุ่มเป้าหมาย คือนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่1 ตัวแปรที่ใช้ในการศึกษาค้นคว้า ตัวแปรอิสระ ได้แก่ การพัฒนาผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนวิทยาศาสตร์ ตัวแปรตาม ได้แก่ ผลการพัฒนาผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนวิทยาศาสตร์ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยสถิติ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ยเลขคณิต ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ระยะเวลาที่ใช้ในการศึกษาค้นคว้า ระหว่างวันที่2-13 พฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2558 ผลการศึกษาพบว่า พบว่า ผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนวิทยาศาสตร์ของนักเรียนดีขึ้น โดยเปรียบผลจากการสอบก่อนเรียนและหลังเรียนวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่1 เรื่องชั้นบรรยากาศ โดยใช้วิธีการสอนแบบเพื่อนช่วยเพื่อน
