จุดมุ่งหมายของงานวิจัย
1. เพื่อพัฒนาทักษะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษโดยใช้แบบฝึกการอ่านสำหรับนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 5 โรงเรียนบ้านวังสารภีอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี
2. เพื่อเปรียบเทียบทักษะการอ่านก่อนและหลังการทำกิจกรรมพัฒนาทักษะการอ่านของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 5 โรงเรียนบ้านวังสารภีอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี

สมมติฐานการวิจัย
หลังการใช้แบบฝึกการอ่านเข้ามาใช้ในการเรียน นักเรียนมีทักษะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษดีขึ้นกว่าก่อนการใช้

ขอบเขตของงานวิจัย
การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงทดลองซึ่งผู้วิจัยได้ดำเนินการทดลองตามแบบแผนการวิจัยแบบ One group pretest–posttest design โดยมีขอบเขตการวิจัยดังนี้
1. ประชากร
ประชากรที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 5 โรงเรียนบ้านวังสารภีอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี
2. ตัวแปรที่ศึกษา
ตัวแปรอิสระ คือ แบบฝึกการอ่าน
ตัวแปรตาม คือ ทักษะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ
