บทคัดย่อ
โครงงานน้ำมันหอมระเหยจากเปลือกมะกรูด เป็นโครงงานที่ศึกษาเกี่ยวกับมะกรูดและน้ำมันหอมระเหย เพื่อให้มีความรู้เรื่องต่างๆเช่น สรรพคุณของมะกรูด วิธีการสกัดน้ำมันหอมระเหยจากเปลือกมะกรูดด้วยวิธีการกลั่นด้วยไอน้ำ วิธีการแยกสารโดยการกลั่นด้วยไอน้ำและประโยชน์ของน้ำมันหอมระเหยจากเปลือกมะกรูด เป็นต้นโดยมีวิธีการทดลองทั้งหมด 3 ครั้ง สามารถปฏิบัติการทดลองสกัดน้ำมันหอมระเหยได้โดยการนำเปลือกมะกรูดไปหั่นให้เป็นชิ้นเล็กๆนำไปชั่งเพื่อวัดปริมาณ จากนั้นนำไปใส่กาต้มน้ำ ต่อสายยางกับกาต้มน้ำ จากนั้นจุดไฟรอให้น้ำเดือดไอน้ำจะไหลผ่านสายยาง ในขณะที่รอนำน้ำมาฉีดสายยางเพื่อให้สายยางมีความเย็น นำภาชนะมารองรับไอน้ำที่ควบแน่นไหลผ่านสายยางไปหยดในภาชนะที่รองรับ โดยสายยางจะทำหน้าที่แทนเครื่องควบแน่น จากนั้นก็จะได้น้ำมันหอมระเหยจากเปลือกมะกรูด นำไปใส่ขวดสีชาจากนั้นก็นำไปใช้ประโยชน์ต่อไป ผลการศึกษาทำให้มีความรู้เรื่องคณะผู้จัดทำได้รับ ความรู้มากมายหลากหลายด้านโดยได้รับความรู้เรื่องต่างๆที่เกี่ยวข้องกับโครงงานเรื่องนี้เช่นเกี่ยวกับเรื่อง มะกรูด ลักษณะทางพฤกษศาสตร์ของมะกรูด ประโยชน์และสรรพคุณของมะกรูด น้ำมันหอมระเหยคืออะไร และวิธีการกลั่นและสกัดน้ำมันหอมระเหย เป็นต้น ทำให้ทางคณะผู้จัดทำสามารถบรรลุจุดประสงค์และการทดลองเป็นไปตามสมมติฐานในการทำโครงงานที่วางไว้ ซึ่งผลการดำเนินการจัดทำโครงงานดังกล่าวมีประโยชน์ต่อผู้สนใจที่จะทำน้ำมันหอมระเหยจากเปลือกมะกรูดและอาจมีผลดียิ่งขึ้นหากมีการพัฒนาต่อไปในเรื่อง การนำไปต่อยอดได้โดยนำน้ำมันหอมระเหยไปผลิตเป็นเทียนหอมกลิ่นมะกรูดได้ หรืออาจจะทดลองสกัดน้ำมันหอมระเหยจากพืชชนิดอื่นๆ เช่นดอกไม้ที่มีกลิ่นหอม แล้วนำมาประดิษฐ์จัดทำเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ตามท้องตลาด
