จากการทำโครงงานเรื่องปลูกผักรักโลก โดยการทดลองปลูกผักสวนครัวในกระถาง พบว่า การปลูกผักสวนครัวเป็นชนิดผักที่ปลูกง่ายบางชนิดใช้เวลาเพียง 1 สัปดาห์ ก็จะมีผักเป็นผลผลิตเพื่อใช้รับประทานภายในครอบครัว นอกจากจะได้บริโภคผักที่ปลูกเองและเป็นผักที่ให้ประโยชน์ต่อร่างกายของเราเนื่องจากเป็นผักปลอดสารพิษแล้ว การปลูกผักสวนครัวยังช่วยปรับสมดุลให้ระบบนิเวศดีขึ้นด้วยการเพิ่มวัฏจักรของสิ่งมีชีวิตในธรรมชาติ และเป็นการเพิ่มพื้นที่สีเขียวให้กับโลกของเรา ที่สำคัญการปลูกผักสวนครัวยังส่งเสริมให้สมาชิกในกลุ่มใช้เวลาว่างให้เกิดประโยชน์อีกทั้งสมาชิกภายในครอบครัวได้ใช้เวลาว่างร่วมกัน
