วัดบ้านไร่

เป็นวัดเก่าแก่วัดหนึ่งใน อ.ด่านขุนทด หลวงพ่อคูณ ปริสุทโธ ได้ปลูกสร้างขึ้นเป็นสำนักสงฆ์เล็กๆ เมื่อประมาณปี พ.ศ.2496 โดยเริ่มสร้างอุโบสถ มีชาวบ้านได้ช่วยกันเข้าป่าตัดไม้ ซึ่งในสมัยก่อนมีอยู่มาก การตัดไม้ในสมัยนั้น ไม่ค่อยสะดวกนัก ไม่มีเครื่องจักร ไม่มีถนน กว่าจะได้ไม้ที่เลื่อยแปรสภาพสำเร็จ ต้องเผชิญกับการขนย้ายที่ยากลำบาก อาศัยโคเทียมเกวียนหรือใช้แรงงานคนลากจูงบนทางที่แสนทุรกันดาร แต่หลวงพ่อคูณก็สามารถนำชาวบ้านช่วยกันสร้างอุโบสถจนสำเร็จ (ปัจจุบันได้รื้อลงแล้ว และก่อสร้างหลังใหม่แทน) นอกจากการก่อสร้างอุโบสถแล้ว หลวงพ่อคูณยังสร้างกุฏิสงฆ์ ศาลาการเปรียญ ขุดสระน้ำไว้เพื่ออุปโภคและบริโภค และที่สำคัญยังสร้างโรงเรียนไว้เพื่อเด็กบ้านไร่อีกด้วย ปัจจุบันวัดบ้านไร่ได้มีการพัฒนาและมีผู้ใฝ่บุญจากทั่วทุกสารทิศเดินทางมาแสวงบุญ
