บทคัดย่อ

การศึกษาการทำชุดโต๊ะจากไม้นนทรี เป็นการศึกษาค้นคว้าข้อมูลในส่วนที่เป็นทฤษฏี ที่เกี่ยวข้อง และเป็นการลงมือปฏิบัติงานไม้เพื่อผลิตเป็นชิ้นงาน ซึ้งการศึกษาค้นคว้าในครั้งนี้ ทางคณะผู้วิจัยมีวัตถุประสงค์ ดังนี้ 1. เพื่อนำไม้นนทรีที่ถูกปล่อยทิ้งมาใช้ให้เกิดประโยชน์ 2. เพื่อศึกษาขั้นตอนการปฏิบัติงานการทำชุดโต๊ะจากไม้นนทรี
เนื่องจากปัจจุบันมีการทำเฟอร์นิเจอร์จากไม้มากมาย ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่นำไม้ท้องถิ่นมาทำเป็นเฟอร์นิเจอร์ เพราะไม้ท้องถิ่นเป็นไม้ที่ไม่เหมาะกับงานโครงสร้างจากคณะผู้วิจัยที่ศึกษาเรื่อง การศึกษาคุณสมบัติของไม้ท้องถิ่น 4 ชนิด เพื่อใช้ในโครงสร้างขนาดเล็ก ได้สรุปผลการทดสอบแรงอัด แรงดัด ความถ่วงจำเพาะ ของไม่ท้องถิ่นไม่เหมาะกับงานโครงสร้างเพราะนำค่าที่ได้ทำการทดสอบมาเปรียบเทียบกับค่ากลสมบัติของไม้ในประเทศไทยตามมาตรฐาน ว.ส.ท. (วิศวกรรมสถานแห่งประเทศไทยในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์) จะมีค่าต่ำกว่าไม้ที่นำมาทำเป็นโครงสร้าง ฉะนั้นไม้ท้องถิ่นจึงเหมาะสำหรับการทำเฟอร์นิเจอร์ต่าง ๆ
