วันนี้ฉันกับเพื่อนได้ไปทำบุญ ไหว้พระกัน ที่จังหวัดพิจิตร พวกเราได้ไปกราบไว้พระแล้วจึงได้ปิดทองที่องค์พระ ซึ่งมีความเชื่อกันว่าเป็นการสร้างบุญส่งเสริมบารมีในด้านต่าง ๆ โดยสามารถแบ่งได้ดังนี้
๑. ปิดทองที่ใบหน้า เชื่อว่าทำให้ชีวิตเจริญรุ่งเรือง
๒. ปิดทองที่บริเวณท้อง เชื่อว่าทำให้ชีวิตอุดมสมบูรณ์ ไม่อดอยาก
๓. ปิดบริเวณสะดือ เชื่อว่าทำให้ชีวิตเจริญด้วยทรัพย์สิน
๔. ปิดบริเวณศีรษะ เชื่อว่าทำให้ปราดเปรื่อง มีความคิดที่ดี
๕. ปิดบริเวณหน้าอก เชื่อว่าทำให้เป็นที่รักใคร่ของผู้คน
๖. ปิดที่มือ เชื่อว่าเป็นการเสริมอำนาจบารมี
๗. ปิดที่เท้า เชื่อว่าทำให้กิจการงานต่าง ๆ ก้าวหน้า มั่นคง
๘. ปิดที่ฐานพระ เชื่อว่าทำให้กิจการงานต่างๆ ก้าวหน้า มั่นคง
๙. ปิดที่หลังพระ เชื่อว่าเป็นการสร้างบุญให้คิดดี ทำแต่ความดี
เมื่อไหว้พระเสร็จจึงไปเติมนั้นตะเกียงกันซึ่งมีความเชื่อกันว่าเป็นการสะเดาะเคราะห์ ต่ออายุ หรือเสริมความรุ่งโรจน์ให้กับชีวิต จากนั้นก็ไปตีระฆังและฆ้องกันซึ่งมีหลายลูกมาก เดินตีเพลินมากเสียงดังดีด้วย ซึ่งการตีระฆังหรือฆ้อง มีความเชื่อว่า ทำให้มีชื่อเสียงโด่งดัง จากนั้นพวกเราก็ได้ไปให้อาหารปลากัน การไปทำบุญครั้งนี้ข้าพเจ้ารู้สึกดีมาก
