ข้อ ๑๗ เจ้าหน้าที่ความปลอดภัยในการทำงานระดับวิชาชีพต้องมีคุณสมบัติเฉพาะอย่างใดอย่างหนึ่ง ดังต่อไปนี้

ในการทำงานระดับเทคนิคขั้นสูงมาแล้วไม่น้อยกว่าห้าปี และผ่านการอบรมและทดสอบตามหลักเกณฑ์และวิธีการที่อธิบดีประกาศกำหนดจากหน่วยงานที่กรมสวัสดิการและคุ้มครองแรงงานรับรอง(๓) เป็นหรือเคยเป็นเจ้าหน้าที่ความปลอดภัยในการทำงานระดับวิชาชีพตามประกาศกระทรวงแรงงานและสวัสดิการสังคม เรื่อง ความปลอดภัยในการทำงานของลูกจ้าง ลงวันที่ ๓๑ มีนาคม พ.ศ. ๒๕๔๐ และผ่านการอบรมเพิ่มและทดสอบตามหลักเกณฑ์และวิธีการที่อธิบดีประกาศกำหนดจากหน่วยงานที่กรมสวัสดิการและคุ้มครองแรงงานรับรองในหลักสูตรที่เกี่ยวกับการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ตามข้อ ๑๘ (๓) (๔) และ (๘) ทั้งนี้ ภายในห้าปีนับแต่วันที่กฎกระทรวงนี้มีผลใช้บังคับ
