วังเจ้าเมืองพัทลุง หรือเรียกอีกชื่อ

วังเจ้าเมืองพัทลุง หรือเรียกอีกชื่อหนึ่งว่า “วังเก่า-วังใหม่” เนื่องจากมีการแบ่งพื้นที่ออกเป็น 2 ส่วนคือ วังเก่าและวังใหม่ ตั้งอยู่ในบริเวณเดียวกัน ในอดีตเคยถูกใช้เป็นที่ว่าราชการและเป็นที่พักอาศัยของเจ้าเมืองพัทลุง ปัจจุบันทายาทตระกูล“จันทโรจวงศ์” ซึ่งเป็นตระกูลของเจ้าเมืองพัทลุงผู้สร้างวังนี้ขึ้นมาได้มอบวังนี้ให้เป็นสมบัติของชาติและกรมศิลปากร ซึ่งได้ประกาศขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นโบราณสถานวังเก่า เมื่อวันที่ 16 กรกฏาคม 2535 และวังใหม่ เมื่อวันที่ 31 พฤษภาคม 2526 ปัจจุบันถูกกำหนดเป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวทางประวัติศาสตร์ให้นักท่องเที่ยวได้เข้าชม มีความสวยงามและสร้างความประทับใจต่อผู้มาเยือนเป็นอย่างมาก และต่อมาสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯสยามบรมราชกุมารีเสด็จพระราชดำเนินมาทรงประกอบพิธีเปิด“วังเจ้าเมืองพัทลุง” อย่างเป็นทางการเมื่อวันที่ 26 สิงหาคม 2536
