มาลัยกลม/กลมลายเกลียว

วิธีการร้อยมาลัยกลม มีหลักที่สำคัญดังนี้ 2
1. คัดเลือกดอกหรือกลีบดอกให้ขนาดเท่าๆ กัน
2. การส่งกลีบหรือก้านดอก จะต้องให้ยาวเท่าๆ กันทุกกลีบ หรือทุกดอกทั้งในแนวเดียวกันและระหว่างแถวด้วย เพื่อให้มาลัยที่ร้อยเสร็จแล้วนั้นมีสัดส่วนและรูปทรงที่สวยงาม ดังนั้นในการร้อยดอกไม้แต่ละดอกหรือแต่ละกลีบ ควรจะต้องวัดก้านก่อนแทงใส่เข็ม
3. ร้อยแถวแรกหรือชั้นแรกให้เป็นวงกลมจัดระยะห่างแต่ละกลีบให้เท่ากัน โดยเริ่มร้อยกลีบแรกเรียงจากซ้ายวนไปทางขวา ( ตามเข็มนาฬิกา) จนครบจำนวนกลีบตามต้องการ
4. ร้อยแถวที่ 2 โดยวางกลีบให้สับหว่างกับกลีบในแถวแรกทุกกลีบ จนครบจำนวนกลีบเท่ากับแถวที่ 1
