เมื่อวันที่ 12 ม.ค.58 ที่ศาลาว่าการกรุงเทพมหานคร(กทม.) น.ส.ตรีดาว อภัยวงศ์ ที่ปรึกษาผู้ว่าราชการกรุงเทพมหานคร และโฆษกของกรุงเทพมหานคร แจ้งว่า กรุงเทพมหานครได้รับการประสานงานจากการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย(ททท.) ในการขอใช้สถานที่บริเวณสวนลุมพินี เพื่อจัดงานเทศกาล“ท่องเที่ยววิถีไทย”ประจำปี 2558 ระหว่างวันพุธที่ 14 – วันอาทิตย์ที่ 18 ม.ค.58 ณ สวนลุมพินี โดยในวันที่ 14-16 ม.ค.58 เริ่มตั้งแต่เวลา16.00-22.00 น.และวันที่ 17-18 ม.ค.58 เริ่มต้นเวลา 12.00-22.00 น.

ทั้งนี้ในกิจกรรมดังกล่าว จะมีการปิดเส้นทางการจราจรในวันที่ 14 ม.ค.58 เนื่องจากจะมีขบวนพาเหรด“ท่องเที่ยววิถีไทย”ความยาว 3.5 กิโลเมตรจากสี่แยกปทุมวันผ่านแยกราชประสงค์ เลี้ยวขวาถนนราชดำริ มุ่งหน้าสู่สวนลุมพินี ดังนั้นขอให้ประชาชนหลีกเลี่ยงเส้นทางในช่วงเวลาดังกล่าว หรือใช้บริการรถไฟฟ้าบีทีเอส

สำหรับเส้นทางที่มีการปิดการจราจรในช่วงเวลาการจัดงานวันที่ 14 ม.ค.58 มีดังนี้
1. ปิดถนนราชดำริ จากแยกราชประสงค์ถึงหน้าสวนลุมพินี ตั้งแต่เวลา 18.00–20.45 น. ปิดถนนพระราม1 จากแยกปทุมวันถึงแยกราชประสงค์ ตั้งแต่เวลา19.30 น.
2. ปิดแยกราชประสงค์ ตั้งแต่ เวลา 20.15 น.
3. ปิดถนนพระราม4 ฝั่งสวนลุมพินีจำนวน 2 ช่องจราจร จากแยกศาลาแดงถึงแยกวิทยุ ตั้งแต่เวลา 21.15 น.
4. ปิดถนนวิทยุด้านฝั่งตรงข้ามสถานีตำรวจนครบาลลุมพินีจำนวน 1 ช่องจราจร เพื่อเป็นจุดจอดรถรับนักแสดงและจอดรถขบวนระหว่างเวลา 19.00– 22.00 น.
