ผมคิดว่าภาษาอังกฤษเป็นวิชาในตำนานทั้งที่เรียนกันมานานมากไม่รู้สึกง่ายขึ้นเลย เรามาดูกันครับว่าทำไมภาษาอังกฤษถึงยากและยากมาก เรียน A B C กันมาตั้งแต่อนุบาล จนตอนนี้ผมยังไม่มีทีท่าว่าจะเรียนวิชาอังกฤษได้ง่ายขึ้นเลย
ภาษาอังกฤษไม่ใช่ภาษาบ้านเกิด นี่ไม่ใช้อารมณ์ครับ แต่นี่คือความจริงที่ต้องยอมรับว่าด้วยความที่เป็นบ้านเราใช้ภาษาไทยกันทุกที่ น้อยครั้งมากที่จะได้ใช้ภาษาอังกฤษ กระทั้งในวิชาอังกฤษก็สอนกันเป็นภาษาไทย เมื่อไม่ได้ใช้ทุกวัน มันก็ยากครับที่จะปะติดปะต่อให้ออกมาดี เพราะภาษาก็เหมือนมีดแหละครับ ไม่ได้ใช้ก็ทื่อ แถมคำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษยังเยอะ แล้วยังใช้ซ้ำกันอีก คำนั้นแปลเหมือนกัน แต่ใช้ต่างกัน เช่น ศัพท์กลุ่ม Talk, Speak, say, Tell 4 คำนี้ เราใช้กันประจำ แต่เราอาจใช้ผิดก็ได้เพราะ Say มักต่อด้วยพูดอะไรแบบ I said ’I love you. หรือไม่ก็ I say แล้วจบเลย ไม่ค่อยมีกรรต่อ แต่จะมีก็ได้แบบ say to ใคร แต่ไม่นิยมซักเท่าไหร่ บอกกันตรงๆเลยครับว่า ศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษ ไม่มีทางไหนเลยที่จะจำได้ ถ้าไม่ถ่อง อยากรู้ศัพท์ต้องท่องครับ นั้นเป็นเรื่องยากมากที่จะจำได้ทั้งหมด แล้วเรื่องสำเนียงอีก เป็นเรื่องยากมาก ทั้งในมุมผู้พูดและมุมผู้ฟัง การที่เราเรียนผ่านสำเนียงไทย ทำให้เราเคยชินกับการพูดที่ขาด ทำให้พอเจอเจ้าของภาษาไฟแล่บใส่มา ไปไม่เป็นเลยครับ อีกทั้งยังการพูดที่ผิดๆ เพี้ยนๆ จากเจ้าของภาษา พูดออกมาก็ดูจะขัดเขิน แถมพูดก็ยังผิดๆถูกๆ พออยู่ในห้องเรียน พอเราอยากพูดชัดๆ ก็โดนล้ออีก แล้วห้องเรียนยังมีแต่คนไม่เก่งอีก การที่เราอยู่ในห้องเรียนที่มีแต่คนไม่รู้เหมือนๆกัน ไม่รู้เรื่องภาษาอังกฤษ หรืออาจะไม่ค่อยเก่ง ทำให้เวลาต้องการความช่วยเหลือ ก็ไม่รู้จะหันไปพึ่งใคร พอจะพูด หรือหัดภาษาอังกฤษก็ไม่รุ้จะเริ่มยังไง
นี่แหละครับที่ผมคิดว่าภาษาอังกฤษเป็นเรื่องที่ยากมากสำหรับผม สำหรับใครที่อยากจะเรียนให้ดีขึ้น ก็ลองเอาปัญหาที่ผมได้อธิบายไปนี้ ลองไปปรับแก้ไขดูนะครับ
