พม.เปิดโครงการสัมนาประชาคม-วัฒนธรรมอาเซียน
วันนี้ (6 ก.ค.) พลตำรวจเอกอดุลย์ แสงสิงแก้ว รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการพัฒนาสังคมและความมั่นคงของมนุษย์ กล่าวรายงานในพิธีเปิดโครงการ "สัมมนาเพื่อเสริมสร้างความตระหนักรู้เกี่ยวกับประชาคมสังคมและวัฒนธรรมอาเซียน (Raising Awareness Conference on ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community)" โดยมีนายยงยุทธ ยุทธวงศ์ รองนายกรัฐมนตรีฝ่ายสังคม เป็นประธาน โดยพลตำรวจเอก อดุลย์ กล่าวว่า การเข้าสู่ประชาคมอาเซียนในเดือนธันวาคมปี 2558 นับเป็นความท้าทายและเป็นโอกาสใหม่ของประเทศไทย ที่จะส่งผลให้เกิดความร่วมมือและความเชื่อมโยงกันในมิติด้านการเมืองและความมั่นคงด้านเศรษฐกิจ รวมทั้งด้านสังคมและวัฒนธรรม
ทั้งนี้ การดำเนินงานที่สำคัญของประชาคมสังคมและวัฒนธรรมอาเซียนคือ การยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตในทุกด้านให้ประชาชนมีความอยู่ดีกินดี อาศัยอยู่ในสิ่งแวดล้อมที่ดี มีความมั่นคงทางสังคมพร้อมรับมือกับความเปลี่ยนแปลงและผลกระทบอันเนื่องมาจากการรวมตัวกันทางด้านเศรษฐกิจ รวมทั้งการมีความรู้สึกเป็นหนึ่งเดียวกัน เพื่อให้มีความสำนึกเชื่อมโยงทางประวัติศาสตร์ มรดกทางวัฒนธรรม และมีสำนึกร่วมกันในอัตลักษณ์ของภูมิภาค และสร้างสำนึกของการเป็นเพื่อนบ้านที่ดี มีความรับผิดชอบ อันจะนำไปสู่การสร้างให้ประชาคมอาเซียนเป็นสังคมแห่งความเอื้ออาทรกัน
โดยเมื่อวันที่ 4 ตุลาคม 2554 คณะรัฐมนตรีได้มอบหมายให้กระทรวงการพัฒนาสังคมและความมั่นคงของมนุษย์(พม.) เป็นหน่วยงานประสานงานหลัก (Focal Point) ของประเทศไทยในการดําเนินงานตามแผนงานการจัดตั้งประชาคมสังคมและวัฒนธรรมอาเซียน และเป็นหน่วยงานรับผิดชอบประเด็นความร่วมมือในด้านที่เกี่ยวข้อง โดยที่ผ่านมากระทรวงการพัฒนาสังคมฯ ได้ประสานความร่วมมือกับหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง ในการขับเคลื่อนการดำเนินการในด้านการพัฒนามนุษย์ การคุ้มครองและสวัสดิการสังคม การส่งเสริมความยุติธรรมและสิทธิ การส่งเสริมความยั่งยืนด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม การสร้างอัตลักษณ์อาเซียน และการลดช่องว่างการพัฒนา
