(2) เส้นทางช่วงเขาตะนาวศรี-กอกะเร็ก-ท่าตอน แบ่งเป็น 3 เส้นทางได้แก่
- เส้นทางที่ 1 ช่วงเชิงเขาตะนาวศรี-กอกะเร็ก-อินดู-พะอัน-ท่าตอน รวมระยะทาง 172 กิโลเมตร โดยรัฐบาลไทยได้เสนอและให้ความช่วยเหลือเป็นเงินกู้เงื่อนไขผ่อนปรน มูลค่า1,350 ล้านบาท เส้นทางนี้เป็นเส้นทางที่สั้นที่สุด ทำให้การขนส่งสินค้าผ่านเส้นทางนี้ประหยัดเวลาและค่าขนส่งได้มาก
- เส้นทางที่ 2 ช่วงเชิงเขาตะนาวศรี-กอกะเร็ก-มูดอง-เมาะละแหม่ง-ท่าตอน รวมระยะทาง 236 กิโลเมตร เส้นทางสายนี้จะทับซ้อนกับเส้นทางที่ 1 ถึงกอกะเร็กแล้วอ้อมลงไปทางใต้ผ่านเมาะละแหม่งและวกไปทางเหนือไปท่าตอน เส้นทางนี้เป็นเส้นทางที่รัฐบาลเมียนมาร์เสนอ เนื่องจากต้องการให้ถนนเส้นนี้ผ่านเมาะละแหม่ง ซึ่งเป็นเมืองที่มีความสำคัญทางเศรษฐกิจอันดับ 3 ของเมียนมาร์รองจากกรุงย่างกุ้ง และเมืองมัณฑะเลย์ รวมทั้งยังเป็นเมืองท่าที่สำคัญและเป็นที่ตั้งของอุตสาหกรรมอีกด้วย โดยรัฐบาลไทยให้ความช่วยเหลือเป็นเงินกู้เงื่อนไขผ่อนปรนมูลค่า 2,150 ล้านบาท
