การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเกี่ยวกับสาเหตุการมาเรียนสายของนัก เรียนในระดับชั้น ปวส. 1แผนกวิชาการจัดการสำนักงานผู้วิจัยได้ศึกษาแนวคิด ทฤษฎีและงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องดังนี้
1. ด้านนักศึกษา
2. ด้านอาจารย์ผู้สอน
3. ด้านครอบครัวของนักศึกษา
4. ด้านสภาพแวดล้อมในสถานศึกษา
5. ด้านงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง

7. ความต้องการให้โครงสร้างทางการเรียนมีปริมาณที่เหมาะสม
8. ความต้องการมีเวลาสำหรับการเรียนอย่างเต็มที่
9. ความต้องการมีความสัมพันธ์ที่ดีต่อเพื่อน ๆ
10. ความต้องการในการชี้แนะที่เหมาะสมกับระดับความสามารถ และวิธีการเรียนของนักเรียน

2. ด้านครู - อาจารย์ผู้สอนอาจารย์ผู้สอนหรือครู เป็นองค์ประกอบที่มีความสำคัญยิ่งที่จะทำให้การเรียนการสอนเป็นไปอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ การเตรียมการสอนของครูจึงมีความสำคัญอย่างยิ่ง อาจสรุปประโยชน์ของการเตรียมการสอนได้ดังนี้การเตรียมการสอนที่ดี จะก่อให้เกิดความมั่นใจในการสอน ถ้าหากอาจารย์ผู้สอนได้มีการเตรียมการสอนต่าง ๆ ได้อย่างเหมาะสม ทั้งทางด้านเนื้อหาที่จะสอน วิธีการสอน ตลอดจนบุคลิกภาพของอาจารย์ผู้สอน ฉะนั้นจึงเป็นการสร้างความมั่นใจในการสอนให้เกิดขึ้นการเตรียมการสอนที่ดี ทำให้การสอนราบรื่น ถูกต้อง และไม่สับสน แม้ว่าการสอนนั้นจะเป็นงานที่ค่อนข้างจะสับสน และมีตัวแปรต่าง ๆ มากก็ตาม แต่ถ้าหากมีการจัดเตรียมการสอนให้เป็นระบบแล้วก็จะทำให้ลดความสับสน และนำทางให้การเรียนการสอนเป็นไปด้วยดี การเตรียมการสอนที่ดี ทำให้อาจารย์ผู้สอนได้สอนตรงตามจุดมุ่งหมายที่กำหนดไว้ ทำให้สอนได้ตรงตามเวลาที่กำหนดไว้ และจะช่วยให้มีการวางแผนให้นักศึกษาเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม ช่วยให้นักศึกษามีความสนใจชื่นชมยินดี มีความเชื่อมั่น และศรัทธาในตัวครู ซึ่งจะทำให้การเรียนการสอนประสบผลสำเร็จ เป็นไปตามเป้าหมาย และวัตถุประสงค์ของการเรียนการสอน
