การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลการจำแนกอารมณ์ในการสนทนาบนกระดานสนทนาออนไลน์โดยนำข้อมูลไปประมวลผลตัดคำภาษาไทย (Segmentation Words) และทำการสกัดเอาเฉพาะข้อมูลที่ต้องการ พร้อมทั้งวิเคราะห์อารมณ์และความรู้สึกจากข้อความที่เกิดขึ้น (Sentiment Analysis) โดยมีเครื่องมือที่ชื่อว่า Swath เป็นตัวที่ใช้ในการตัดคำโดยใช้ พจนานุกรมภาษาไทย และนำไปเปรียบเทียบกับฐานข้อมูลคำในแต่ละอารมณ์ทั้ง 10 อารมณ์ตามที่ คาร์รอล อิซาร์ด (Caroll lzard) ได้จำแนกไว้ เพื่อที่จะวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลว่าข้อความที่เกิดขึ้นนั้นอยู่ในอารมณ์ใดโดยทางผู้วิจัยใช้ข้อมูลตัวอย่างเป็นกระดานสนทนาของกลุ่มนักลงทุนในตลาดหลักทรัพย์แห่งประเทศไทยโดยเก็บข้อมูลเป็นแบบอัตโนมัติ (Real-Time) เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพให้ได้ข้อมูลปัจจุบันตลอดเวลาแก่นักลงทุน เมื่อนำข้อความที่แสดงอารมณ์ของนักลงทุนนั้นมาสกัดและเปรียบเทียบอารมณ์แล้วจึงนำไปเก็บยังฐานข้อมูลเพื่อที่จะเปรียบเทียบกับราคาหลักทรัพย์ ที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไปแต่ละวัน สุดท้ายนำเสนอข้อมูลในรูปแบบแผนภูมิเพื่อให้นักลงทุนนำไปประกอบการตัดสินใจต่อไป
