การส่งออกเป็นการสร้างรายได้หลักให้กับทุกๆประเทศ ซึ่งยางพารา อุปกรณ์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ เครื่องสำอาง และอาหาร เป็นสินค้าส่งออกที่สร้างรายได้ระหว่างประเทศไทยกับประเทศมาเลเซีย การศึกษาครั้งนี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อที่จะเปรียบเทียบอัตราแลกเปลี่ยนระหว่างมูลค่าการส่งออกของประเทศไทยกับประเทศมาเลเซีย ซึ่งใช้กลุ่มตัวอย่าง 12 ปี ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2546 -2557 โดยใช้สมการถดถอยเชิงซ้อนในการวิเคราะห์ Multiple Regression วิธี OLS จากการศึกษาพบว่าการส่งออกทั้ง2ประเทศหากนำอัตราแลกเปลี่ยนมาเปรียบเทียบกับสินค้าที่มาเลเซียส่งออกสินค้าที่ทำให้มาเลเซียได้เปรียบการค้าคือ การส่งออกยางพารา เครื่องสำอาง และอาหาร และหากนำอัตราแลกเปลี่ยนมาเปรียบเทียบกับสินค้าที่ไทยส่งออกสินค้าที่ทำให้ไทยได้เปรียบการค้า คือ อุปกรณ์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์
