แกล้งดิน เป็นแนวพระราชดำริของพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวภูมิพลอดุลยเดช เกี่ยวกับการแก้ปัญหาดินเปรี้ยว หรือดินเป็นกรด โดยมีการขังน้ำไว้ในพื้นที่ จนกระทั่งเกิดปฏิกิริยาเคมีทำให้ดินเปรี้ยวจัด จนถึงที่สุด แล้วจึงระบายน้ำออกและปรับสภาพฟื้นฟูดินด้วยปูนขาว จนกระทั่งดินมีสภาพดีพอที่จะใช้ในการเพาะปลูก


วิธีการปรับปรุงดินตามสภาพของดินและความเหมาะสม มีอยู่ ๓ วิธีการด้วยกัน คือ
ใช้น้ำชะล้างความเป็นกรด เพราะเมื่อดินหายเปรี้ยว จะมีค่า pH เพิ่มขึ้น หากใช้ปุ๋ยไนโตรเจนและฟอสเฟต ก็จะทำให้พืชให้ผลผลิตได้
ใช้ปูนมาร์ลผสมคลุกเคล้ากับหน้าดิน
ใช้ทั้งสองวิธีข้างต้นผสมกัน
