การศึกษาครั้งนี้ผู้วิจัยมีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อ 1)เพื่อศึกษาพัฒนาการด้านทักษะการพูดภาษาอังกฤษของผู้เรียน
2) เพื่อพัฒนาทักษะการพูดภาษาอังกฤษของผู้เรียนด้วยวิธีการสอนแบบฟัง-พูด ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4/1 ซึ่งใช้วิธีการสอนแบบฟัง-พูดมาช่วยในการพัฒนาทักษะการพูดของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4/1 วิทยาลัยนาฏศิลปร้อยเอ็ด โดยการใช้แบบทดสอบก่อนเรียนและหลังเรียนเพื่อวัดความสามารถในการพูดภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียนตามสถานการณ์ที่กำหนดให้ เพื่อนำผลที่ได้มาทำการศึกษาเพื่อหาวิธีการสอนที่ได้ผลในการสื่อสารตามหลักการสอนภาษา
กลุ่มประชากรในการใช้ครั้งนี้ คือนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4/1 วิทยาลัยนาฏศิลปร้อยเอ็ด ภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2558 จำนวน 35 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการศึกษาคือ วิธีการสอนแบบฟัง-พูด แบบทดสอบก่อนเรียนและหลังเรียนแบบปรนัย ชนิดเลือกตอบ 4 ตัวเลือกจำนวน 10 ข้อ และแบบประเมินการแสดงบทบาทสมมุติของผู้เรียน เพื่อสังเกตการณ์พัฒนา การใช้ภาษาเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์ที่กำหนดให้
