The Maze Runner เป็นหนังที่สนุก แต่ถ้าให้เทียบกับ Hunger Games แล้วความสนุกยังถือว่าห่างมาก แม้กระทั่ง Divergent โดยส่วนตัวก็ยังคิดว่าสนุกมากกว่า โดยทั้ง 3 เรื่องนี้มีประเด็นตั้งต้นของเรื่องที่ใหม่และเป็นเอกลักษณ์เหมือนกันก็จริง แต่ส่วนตัวกลับไม่รู้สึกตื่นเต้นกับประเด็นตั้งต้นของ The Maze Runner เหมือนอีก 2 เรื่องที่กล่าวมาสักเท่าไหร่

อาจจะเป็นเพราะ The Maze Runner ไม่มีการเมืองที่ขัดแย้งกันอย่างเข้มข้นในตัวเรื่องเหมือนอย่าง Hunger Games หรือ Divergent กระมัง จึงทำให้หนังเหมือนอยู่ใน Safe zone ตลอดเวลา น่าจะดึงความดิบในจิตใจของมนุษย์มาเล่นให้มากกว่านี้ เพราะทุกอย่างถูกจัดขึ้นอย่างเป็นระบบระเบียบเรียบร้อยหมดแล้ว ไม่มีประเด็นหนักๆให้โต้เถียง มีแค่ไปไม่ไป วิ่งไม่วิ่ง ทุกคนในเรื่องเป็นคนดีไปหมด แม้คนที่ความเห็นไม่ลงรอยกัน ถ้าดูดีๆเขาก็ไม่ใช่คนเลวอยู่ดี

ส่วนฉากแอคชั่นไม่ได้ต่อสู้กันหวือหวา ไม่ค่อยลุ้นเท่าไหร่ วิ่งสักส่วนใหญ่ อยากเห็นอะไรที่โหดกว่านี้สักหน่อย บทพูดไม่ค่อยคม มีหนึ่งจุดในหนังที่เป็นไปไม่ได้เลยตอนใกล้ๆจบเรื่อง และไม่ชอบหน้าตาของพระเอกกับนางเอก ซึ่งโดยส่วนตัวแล้วก็น่าจะมีผลทำให้ดูแล้วไม่ค่อยคล้อยตามเนื้อเรื่องสักเท่าไหร่ แต่ชอบ Newt (Thomas Brodie-Sangster เด็กที่เคยเล่น Love Actually) และ มินโฮน่ารักและเท่ หุ่นดีสมส่วน ดูๆไปหน้าตาก็คล้ายๆพี่ตู่ภพธรอยู่นะคะ
