ดิฉันเป็นคนจังหวัดศรีสะเกษ ฉันได้มาย้ายอยู่ที่จังหวัดชลบุรีเมื่อตอนที่ฉันกำลังจะขึ้นชันมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1 โดยได้มาอาศัยอยู่กับน้า เพื่อมาเรียนต่อ โดยที่พ่อและแม่ของฉันก็ยังคงอยู่ที่ศรีสะเกษเช่นเดิม ฉันจะมีโอกาสได้กลับไปเยี่ยมท่านทั้งสองก็แค่ในช่วงปิดเทอมเท่านั้น ทำให้ฉันคิดถึงพ่อและแม่มากๆ ฉันได้แต่รอคอยให้ถึงช่วงปิดเทอมเร็วๆ เพราะเป็นเวลาที่จะได้กลับไปอยู่กับพ่อและแม่ รวมเวลาก็ประมาณ 2 เดือนครึ่งเลยล่ะ และแล้ววันปิดเทอมก็มาถึงฉันจึงรีบเก็บเดินทางกลับบ้าน ในช่วงปิดเทอมนั้นดิฉันได้ทำกิจกรรมหลายอย่าง ได้ไปเที่ยวกับแม่ในหลายๆสถานที่ และไปช่วยพ่อแม่ทำงาน ทำนา ทำสวนและได้ไปรับจ้างปลูกหอมแดง ช่วยหารายได้ให้ครอบครัวได้อีกแรง
ในช่วงนั้นทำให้ฉันมีความสุขมากได้ทำในสิ่งที่ชอบ อาจจะลำบากกายไปบ้างแต่ก็สุขใจเพราะได้อยู่กับครอบครัวด้วย อีกอย่างอยู่บ้านข้าวก็ไม่ต้องซื้อ อาหารก็อร่อยเพราะฝีมือแม่ฉันอร่อยที่สุดในโลกอยู่แล้ว เวลาไปทำสวนห่อข้าวไปกินด้วยกันก็สนุกสนานไปกับเพื่อนพูดคุยกันอย่างสนุกทำงานไม่เหนื่อยเลย ถึงแม้จะเหนื่อยก็คงเหนื่อยน้อยกว่าพ่อแม่
ตอนเย็นก็ได้นั่งกินข้าวด้วยกันพร้อมหน้าพร้อมตา พอตื่นเช้ามาเราก็ทำงานต่อเป็นอย่างนี้ทุกวัน แต่ฉันไม่เบื่อเลยเพราะเป็นอาชีพของพ่อแม่ของฉัน และวันเปิดเทอมก็มาถึง ฉันได้เอาหอมแดงมาฝากน้าและเพื่อนๆที่โรงเรียนด้วย ถ้าหากฉันมีโอกาสอีกเมื่อไหร่ฉันก็จะกลับไปเยื่ยมพ่อและแม่อีกแน่นอน
