1.1 แนวคิด ที่มา และความสำคัญ
ในปัจจุบันจังหวัดตรังเป็นจังหวัดหนึ่งที่มีรากฐานทางเศรษฐกิจในด้านการท่องเที่ยวเป็นจำนวนมากจึงจำเป็นต้องมีการพัฒนาระบบเศรษฐกิจด้านการท่องเที่ยวให้มีประสิทธิภาพมากยิ่งขึ้น ซึ่งสามารถเห็นได้จากการทำธุรกิจบริษัททัวร์เพื่อการท่องเที่ยวที่แพร่หลายเป็นจำนวนมาก
อนึ่งในการทำธุรกิจเพื่อการท่องเที่ยวนั้นเป็นปัจจัยสำคัญที่ผลให้มีการจัดทำสื่อต่างๆ เพื่อแนะนำสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวที่มีความน่าสนใจให้กับนักท่องเที่ยวที่สนใจในสถานที่นั้นๆ ดังนั้น จังหวัดตรังมีสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวที่มีความน่าสนใจหลายแห่ง อาทิ หาดปากเมง ถ้ำมรกต เกาะกระดาน น้ำตกโตนเต๊ะ อุทยาน-แห่งชาติหาดเจ้าไหม เป็นต้น ซึ่งในปัจจุบันได้รับความสนใจจากนักท่องเที่ยวเป็นจำนวนมากทั้งชาวไทย และชาวต่างชาติ การได้มาเยือน จังหวัดตรัง จึงนับว่าได้ท่องเที่ยวครบทุก รสชาติ ทั้งดินแดนประวัติศาสตร์ วิถีชีวิต ธรรมชาติ โดยมีสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกอย่างเหมาะสมและพอเพียงในแต่ละที่ที่ได้ไปสัมผัส
ดังที่กล่าวมาแล้วในข้างต้น ผู้จัดทำได้เล็งเห็นความสำคัญของการท่องเที่ยวในจังหวัดตรัง จึงได้จัดทำโครงงานแนะนำสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวในจังหวัดตรังขึ้น โดยมุ่งเน้นให้เกิดประโยชน์ต่อบุคคลที่มีความสนใจในการท่องเที่ยว โดยจะนำความรู้ด้านคอมพิวเตอร์มาประยุกต์ใช้ในการจัดทำข้อมูลขึ้น เพื่อให้เศรษฐกิจของจังหวัดตรังในด้านการท่องเที่ยวนั้นมีประสิทธิภาพมากยิ่งขึ้น
