งานวิจัยนี้มีจุดประสงค์ในการเก็บข้อมูลสัญญาณเสียงหัวใจ 3 ช่องสัญญาณ โดยใช้เครื่องมอนิเตอร์สัญญาณเสียงหัวใจและสัญญาณคลื่นไฟฟ้าหัวใจแบบ 4 ช่องสัญญาณ ซึ่งมีวงจรอิเล็กทรอนิกส์เข้ามาควบคุมในการตรวจและแสดงผล โดยเริ่มจากการรับสัญญาณเสียงหัวใจด้วยไมโครโฟน จากนั้นส่งสัญญาณที่ได้มาขยาย ด้วยวงจรขยายสัญญาณ (Amplifier) เพื่อขยายสัญญาณ แล้วทำการเลือกช่วงความถี่ ด้วยวงจรกรองความถี่ต่ำ (Low pass filter) แล้วนำสัญญาณไปแสดงผลและวิเคราะห์ในระบบคอมพิวเตอร์โดยใช้โปรแกรม MATLAB โดยมีการแสดงผลใช้ Graphical User Interface ของโปรแกรม เชื่อมต่อกับสัญญาณเสียงหัวใจของอาสาสมัคร งานวิจัยนี้จะเก็บข้อมูลอาสาสมัคร 50 คน แล้วจะนำสัญญาณที่ได้ไปแสดงผลและวิเคราะห์ ขั้นสุดท้ายจึงเก็บเป็นฐานข้อมูลซึ่งจะมีประโยชน์ในการวินิจฉัยโรคที่เกี่ยวกับความผิดปกติของหัวใจต่อไป
