ประชากร ที่ใช้ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้เป็นนักศึกษาพยาบาลศาสตรบัณฑิต ปีการศึกษา 2558 วิทยาลัยพยาบาลบรมราชชนนี อุตรดิตถ์ จำนวน 460 คน ได้กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้จำนวน 214 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 46.5 ของนักศึกษาหลักสูตรพยาบาลศาสตรบัณฑิต วิทยาลัยพยาบาลบรมราชชนนีอุตรดิตถ์ทั้งหมดในปีการศึกษา 2558 โดยการสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบ Simple random Sampling โดยกำหนดขนาดของกลุ่มตัวอย่างโดยใช้สูตรทาโร่ยามาเน่ ( Taro Yamane ) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ประกอบด้วย แบบสอบถามข้อมูลทั่วไป แบบประเมินความฉลาดทางอารมณ์ และแบบประเมินและวิเคราะห์ความเครียดด้วยตนเอง
