งานวิจัยนี้เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงสำรวจ (survey research) โดยมุ่งทำการสำรวจเฉพาะกลุ่มนิสิตสาขาภาษาอังกฤษคู่ขนานการศึกษา ชั้นปีที่ 4 ปีการศึกษา 2559 มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยาที่มีพฤติกรรมการใช้เฟซบุ๊กและปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อพฤติกรรมการใช้เฟซบุ๊ก(Facebook) โดยใช้เครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล คือ แบบสอบถาม (Questionnaire) โดยในการเก็บแบบสอบถามคือ การใช้แบบสอบถามกระดาษ (Paper-based survey) ในเรื่องการสุ่มตัวอย่างเฉพาะกลุ่มนิสิตสาขาภาษาอังกฤษคู่ขนานการศึกษา จำนวน 136 คน โดยใช้แบบสอบถามที่ตอบรับกลับมาทั้งสิ้น 105 แบบสอบถาม และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้โปรแกรม excel 2016 ด้วยค่าสถิติร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน
ผลวิจัยพบว่า กลุ่มตัวอย่างในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิงมากกว่าเพศชาย มีอายุระหว่าง 20-22 ปี มีการศึกษาอยู่ในระดับปริญญาตรี มีอัตราการใช้เฟซบุ๊กทุกวันต่อสัปดาห์ ในการใช้แต่ละครั้งใช้เวลามากกว่า 2 ชั่วโมงต่อครั้ง สถานที่ใช้เฟซบุ๊กบ่อยที่สุด หอพัก และนิสิตสาขาภาษาอังกฤษคู่ขนานการศึกษา ใช้โทรศัพท์มือถือเป็นจำนวนมากที่สุด ซึ่งกิจกรรมต่างๆที่มีในเฟซบุ๊ก (Facebook) ประกอบไปด้วย การติดต่อสื่อสาร การโต้ตอบกระดานสนทนา การเล่นเกมส์ การแบ่งปันรูปภาพ การค้นหาเพื่อน การส่งข้อความ การร่วมแสดงความคิดเห็น ปัจจัยการส่งผลพฤติกรรมการใช้เฟซบุ๊ก พบว่า ด้านการศึกษามีปัจจัยส่งผลต่อพฤติกรรมของนิสิตสาขาภาษาอังกฤษมากที่สุด เพื่อติดตามข่าวสารจากอาจารย์และเพื่อแจ้งข่าวสารเกี่ยวกับรายวิชานั้นๆ
