จากการที่สำนักงาน คปภ. ได้มีการหารือกับธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย (ธปท.) เกี่ยวกับการขายประกันภัยผ่านช่องทางของธนาคารพาณิชย์ (Bancassurance) ให้เป็นไปตามประกาศ คปภ. เรื่องกำหนดหลักเกณฑ์วิธีการออก การเสนอขายกรมธรรม์ประกันภัย และการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ของตัวแทนประกันชีวิต นายหน้าประกันชีวิต และธนาคาร พ.ศ. 2551 และประกาศ คปภ. เรื่อง กำหนดหลักเกณฑ์วิธีการออก การเสนอขายกรมธรรม์ประกันภัย และการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ของตัวแทนประกันวินาศภัย นายหน้าประกันวินาศภัย และธนาคาร พ.ศ. 2552
