การจัดทำโครงงานครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาวิธีการทำลิปบาล์มโดยใช้วัตถุดิบจากธรรมชาติเป็นส่วนผสม วัสดุอุปกรณ์หาได้ง่าย ไม่เป็นอันตรายต่อริมฝีปาก และมีคุณภาพในการดำเนินการจัดทำโครงงานนี้ ผู้จัดทำเห็นถึงปัญหาของริมฝีปากเราที่แห้งและขาดความ ชุ่มชื้น เมื่อไปหาซื้อลิปบาล์มที่จำหน่ายตามท้องตลาดพบว่ามีราคาที่ค่อนข้างสูง จึงแก้ไขปัญหาด้วยการทำลิปบาล์มซึ่งมีส่วนผสมจากธรรมชาติ เช่น ขี้ผึ้ง , เชียร์ บัตเตอร์ , น้ำมันมะพร้าวสกัดเย็น และเติมแต่งสีสันด้วยสีธรรมชาติจากดอกไม้ ทำให้ลิปบาล์มมีสีสันน่าใช้มากยิ่งขึ้น
