การศึกษาอิสระครั้งนี้เป็นการศึกษาอิสระเชิงปฏิบัติการเรื่องการพัฒนากิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน (Problem Based Learning) ในรายวิชาศิลปะ ศ 14101 เรื่อง ทัศนธาตุกับงานศิลป์ ชั้นประถมศึกษา ปีที่ 4 โรงเรียนเทศบาลบ้านหนองแวง กลุ่มเป้าหมายการศึกษาอิสระครั้งนี้เป็นนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4 โรงเรียนเทศบาลบ้านหนองแวง สังกัดสำนักการศึกษาเทศบาลนครขอนแก่น อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดขอนแก่น ที่กำลังศึกษาในภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2556 จำนวน 18 คน โดยการเลือกแบบเจาะจง เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการศึกษาอิสระ 2 ประเภท คือ 1)การเรียนรู้แบบใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน (Problem Based Learning) ในรายวิชาศิลปะ ศ 14101 เรื่อง ทัศนธาตุกับงานศิลป์ ชั้นประถมศึกษา ปีที่ 4 จำนวน 7 แผนการเรียนรู้ แผนการเรียนรู้ละ 2 ชั่วโมง รวม 14 ชั่วโมง 2) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการประเมินผลการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบทดสอบวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน ซึ่งใช้ในการทดสอบหลังเรียนจำนวน 1 ฉบับ เป็นแบบทดสอบชนิดปรนัย แบบ 4 ตัวเลือก จำนวน 20 ข้อ การวิจัยในครั้งนี้ ผู้ศึกษาได้ทำการเก็บข้อมูลโดยการทดสอบความรู้หลังจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ครบทั้ง 7 แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ แล้วนำคะแนนที่ได้มาหาค่าสถิติพื้นฐาน คือ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าร้อยละ และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ปรากฏผลการวิจัยดังต่อไปนี้
ผลการศึกษาอิสระ พบว่า ผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนรายวิชาทัศนศิลป์ เรื่อง การพัฒนากิจกรรมการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน (Problem-BasedLearning : PBL) ในรายวิชาศิลปะ ศ 14101 หน่วยการเรียนรู้ เรื่อง ทัศนธาตุกับงานศิลป์ ของนักเรียนระดับชั้นประถมศึกษา ปีที่ 4 มีค่าเฉลี่ยของคะแนนแบบทดสอบวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนจากการใช้การพัฒนากิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน พบว่ากิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน (Problem Based Learning) ทำให้นักเรียนมีคะแนนผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน ร้อยละ (86.94) สูงกว่าเกณฑ์ที่ได้ตั้งไว้ร้อยละ (6.94)
ผลการศึกษาความความพึงพอใจต่อการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐานเรื่องทัศนธาตุกับศิลป์ พบว่า 1.การจัดการเรียนรู้ทำให้จำเนื้อหาได้นาน 2.การจัดการเรียนรู้ช่วยให้นักเรียนสร้างความรู้ความเข้าใจด้วยตนเองได้ 3.การจัดการเรียนรู้ทำให้นักเรียนนำวิธีการเรียนรู้ไปใช้ในวิชาอื่นๆ 4.การจัดการเรียนรู้ทำให้นักเรียนพัฒนาทักษะการคิดที่สูงขึ้น5. การจัดการเรียนรู้ช่วยให้นักเรียนตัดสินใจโดยใช้เหตุผล 6 การจัดการเรียนรู้ทำให้เข้าใจและรู้จักเพื่อนมากขึ้นคิดเห็น 7.กิจกรรมการเรียนการสอนนี้ทำให้ได้ทำงานร่วมกับผู้อื่น
