โรงเรียนสิรินธร ได้จัดการศึกษาตามแนวทางของโรงเรียนมาตรฐานสากล ( World-Class Standard School ) ได้จัดการเรียนการสอนเทียบเคียงมาตรฐานสากล มาตั้งแต่ปีการศึกษา 2553 โดยพัฒนาหลักสูตรให้เป็นหลักสูตร World-Class Standard School Curriculm, พัฒนาสาระการเรียนรู้วิทยาศาสตร์ คณิตศาสตร์ จัดการเรียนการสอนโดยใช้ภาษาอังกฤษ, พัฒนาครูผู้สอน ให้มีศักยภาพในการจัดการเรียนการสอนตามแนวทางสู่มาตรฐานสากล, พัฒนาผู้บริหารโรงเรียน ให้มีความรู้ความสามารถในการบริหารด้วยระบบคุณภาพ, พัฒนาระบบการบริหารจัดการมุ่งเน้นคุณภาพ โดยจัดให้มีการเรียนการสอนรายวิชาเพิ่มเติมสาระที่เป็นสากล นั่นคือรายวิชา การศึกษาค้นคว้าและสร้างองค์ความรู้ (Research and Knowledge Formation: IS1) รายวิชาการสื่อสารและการนำเสนอ (Communication and Presentation: IS2) และการจัดกิจกรรมการนำองค์ความรู้ไปใช้บริการสังคม (Social Service Activity:IS3)
ในปี พ.ศ. 2558 ประเทศไทยจะก้าวเข้าสู่อาเซียน ซึ่งจะก่อให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงในหลายๆด้าน ทั้งสังคม เศรษฐกิจ การเมือง การเปลี่ยนแปลงเหล่านี้ ล้วนส่งผลกระทบ โดยตรงต่อการดำรงชีวิตของคนในสังคมไทย ด้วยกันทั้งสิ้น การตระหนักถึงความพร้อมของกำลังคน ในการเป็นทรัพยากรแรงงานอันสำคัญที่จะสะท้อนบทบาทของประเทศไทย จึงเป็นสิ่งที่ไม่สามารถหลีกเลี่ยงได้
การจัดการศึกษานับว่ามีความสำคัญอย่างยิ่ง ต้องให้ความรู้กับนักเรียนทุกระดับซึ่งเป็นการเตรียมความพร้อมในทุกๆด้าน เพื่อรองรับต่อการโรงเรียนสิรินธรได้จัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้อาเซียนศึกษา โดยใช้กระบวนการศึกษาเพื่อเรียนรู้ (IS) เพื่อเป็นการสร้างความตระหนักร่วมแรงร่วมใจกันทั้งครู นักเรียน และผู้ปกครอง จะได้พัฒนาก้าวทันต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงในระยะเวลาอันใกล้นี้
