3.โครงการอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรป่าไม้
​พื้นที่ป่าไม้แบ่งออกเป็น 2 ประเภทคือเพื่อเศรษฐกิจเป็นร้อยละ 25 และเพื่อการอนุรักษ์เป็นร้อยละ 15 แต่ปัจจุบันพื้นที่ป่าไม้มีสัดส่วนลดลง เนื่องจากพื้นที่ถูกบุกรุกเพื่อจับจองทำไร่เลื่อนลอย และมีการตัดต้นไม้มากขึ้น เมื่อฝนตก น้ำฝนจะไหลบ่าชะล้างหน้าดินที่มีความอุดมสมบูรณ์ลงมาที่ราบลุ่ม ทำให้แม่น้ำมีความตื่นเขิน นำไปสู่การกัดเซาะดินมีผลให้อายุการใช้งานของเขื่อนลดน้อยลง นอกจากนั้นหน้าดินที่ถูกชะล้างความอุดมสมบูรณ์ ทำให้ชาวไร่ต้องเพิ่มการใช้ปุ๋ยมากกว่าเดิม

3.2 การอนุรักษ์สัตว์ป่าและอุทยานแห่งชาติ – ให้มีการสงานพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าและเพาะเลี้ยงสัตว์ที่กำลังจะสูญพันธุ์, จัดตั้งอุทยานและวนอุทยานเพื่อใช้เป็นที่พักผ่อนหย่อนใจของประชาชน
3.3 การจัดพื้นที่ทำกิน – จัดให้ราษฎรมีพื้นที่ทำกินเป็นหลักแหล่งเพื่อลดการตัดไม้ทำลายป่าหรือทำไร่เลื่อนลอยหรือปลูกฝิ่น
3.4 การพัฒนาวิจัยป่าไม้ – เพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ของป่าไม้กับสิ่งแวดล้อมอื่นๆ เช่น ป่าไม้กับการประมงในพื้นที่ป่าชายเลน การพัฒนาด้านชลประทานเกี่ยวกับป่าไม้
