กรีฑาประเภทผสมเป็นการแข่งขันที่นำกรีฑาประเภทลู่ และลานบางส่วนผสมกัน แบ่งประเภทการแข่งขัน ดังนี้

3.1) ประเภทชาย มีกรีฑาประเภทผสมให้เลือกแข่งขันได้ 2 แบบ ดังนี้

ปัญจกรีฑา ประกอบด้วยการแข่งขัน 5 รายการ ทำการแข่งขันภายในวันเดียว ตามลำดับ คือ กระโดดไกล, พุ่งแหลน , วิ่ง 200 เมตร, ขว้างจักร และวิ่ง 1,500 เมตร

ทศกรีฑา ประกอบด้วยการแข่งขัน 10 รายการ ทำการแข่งขัน 2 วัน ติดต่อกันตามลำดับ ดังนี้

วันที่หนึ่ง : วิ่ง 100 เมตร กระโดดไกล ทุ่มลูกน้ำหนัก กระโดดสูง และวิ่ง 400 เมตร

วันที่สอง : วิ่งข้ามรั้ว 110 เมตร ขว้างจักร กระโดดค้ำ พุ่งแหลน และวิ่ง 1,500 เมตร
