สิ่งหนึ่งที่น่าสนใจในพม่าคือด้านการจราจรนั่นเอง ซึ่งในอดีตพม่าใช้รถยนต์รูปแบบพวงมาลัยขวา และขับทางเลนซ้ายตามแบบของประเทศอังกฤษ แต่เมื่อได้รับเอกราชจากอังกฤษแล้ว พม่าก็เปลี่ยนรูปแบบการขับรถ โดยยังคงใช้พวงมาลัยขวา แต่เปลี่ยนมาเป็นการขับรถในเลนขวา ซึ่งต้องถือว่าแปลก แหวกแนว ไม่เหมือนกับรูปแบบของประเทศอื่น ๆ ในโลก
