ปีการศึกษาในระดับอุดมศึกษามักเริ่มจาก กุมภาพันธุ์ – พฤศจิกายน โดยจะมีช่วงปิดเทอมภาคฤดูร้อน

การแบ่งเทอมการศึกษามีด้วยกัน 2 ระบบคือ
