การท่าเรือแห่งประเทศไทย มีท่าเรือในสังกัด จำนวน 5 แห่ง คือ
1. ท่าเรือกรุงเทพ - หรือท่าเรือคลองเตย ตั้งอยู่ที่เขตคลองเตย กรุงเทพ อยู่บนฝั่งซ้ายของแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา ถือเป็นท่าเรือแห่งแรกของประเทศไทย และให้บริการมาจวบจนปัจจุบันกว่า 56 ปี
2. ท่าเรือแหลมฉบัง - เป็นท่าเรือหลักของประเทศแทนท่าเรือกรุงเทพฯ ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2539 ในปี พ.ศ. 2551 และเป็นท่าเรือน้ำลึกและถือเป็นท่าเรือหลักในการขนส่งสินค้าระหว่างประเทศที่สามารถรองรับเรือขนาดใหญ่พิเศษ (Super Post Panamax) ได้ มีปริมาณขนถ่ายสินค้าทั้งสิ้น 4,629,244.70เมตริกตัน

3. ท่าเรือเชียงแสน - อยู่ที่อำเภอเชียงแสน จังหวัดเชียงราย เปิดให้บริการเมื่อวันที่ 1 ตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2546
4. ท่าเรือเชียงของ - เป็นท่าเรือริมฝั่งแม่น้ำโขงตั้งอยู่ในเขตพื้นที่อำเภอเชียงของ จังหวัดเชียงรายตรงข้ามกับ
แขวงบ่อแก้ว สาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว เปิดให้บริการเมื่อวันที่ 1 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2546
5. ท่าเรือระนอง เป็นท่าเรือริมฝั่งตะวันออกของปากแม่น้ำกระบุรี ตำบลปากน้ำ อำเภอเมืองระนอง จังหวัดระนอง มีเนื้อที่ 315 ไร่ เปิดให้บริการในปี พ.ศ. 2549
