การแกะสลักไม้ เป็นการใช้เวลาว่างให้เกิดประโยชน์และสามารถนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ได้คือ นำไปสร้างอาชีพ เพื่อสร้างรายได้ให้กับหมู่บ้าน สามารถแปรรูปไม้ธรรมชาติให้มีมูลค่าเพิ่มขึ้น และเป็นการสืบทอดภูมิปัญญาการแกะสลักที่มีชื่อเสียงไว้ การแกะสลักไม้บ้านหลุกเป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้ให้แก่เยาวชนและเป็นศูนย์รวมของคนในหมู่บ้านเพื่อสร้างความสามัคคีภายในหมู่บ้าน
ประโยชน์ของโครงงาน
1. ทำให้ผู้จัดทำได้เข้าใจวิธีดำเนินงานอย่างเป็นขั้นตอน และมีการช่วยเหลือกันในกลุ่ม
2. ทำให้ผู้จัดทำได้ทำงานร่วมกันอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ
3. สามารถนำความรู้ที่ได้ไปเผยแพร่ได้อย่างถูกต้อง
4. สามารถนำความรู้และข้อมูลที่ได้เกี่ยวกับการแกะสลักไม้ไปประกอบอาชีพได้
5. ทำให้เข้าใจและรู้ถึงความเป็นมาของการแกะสลักไม้
6. สามารถอธิบายความเป็นมาและขั้นตอนต่างๆประเภทของการแกะสลักไม้ให้ผู้อื่นฟังได้


3. ข้อเสนอแนะ
1.ควรผลักดันให้ผลิตภัณฑ์ได้รับการรับรองคุณภาพ เพื่อสร้างความมั่นใจให้ผู้บริโภค
2.ควรสนับสนุนให้ผู้ประกอบการขยายธุรกิจหรือเพิ่มการผลิตและต้องมีเงินทุนหมุนเวียน
3. ควรหาแนวทางให้ผู้ประกอบการลิตประหยัดต้นทุน ทางด้านวัตถุดิบและราคาไม้เช่น มีการส่งเสริมให้มีการปลูกสร้างสวน เพื่อนำไม้มาใช้ในการแกะสลัก
