ธงชาติญี่ปุ่น (「日本の国旗」, Nipponnokokki, 日本の国旗) หรือรู้จักในชื่อ นิชโชกิ (「日章旗」, Nisshōki, – ธงพระอาทิตย์) หรือชื่อ ฮิโนะมะรุ (「日の丸」, Hinomaru, – วงกลมดวงอาทิตย์) เป็นธงประจำชาติของประเทศญี่ปุ่น มีลักษณะเป็นธงรูปสี่เหลี่ยมผืนผ้าพื้นสีขาว กึ่งกลางธงเป็นรูปวงกลมสีแดง หมายถึง พระอาทิตย์
