ตำนานเรื่องแม่นาคมาเล่าใหม่โดยยืนโครงเรื่องเดิมไว้ แต่สอดแทรกความตลกเข้าไปในเนื้อหาด้วย โดยมีเนื้อหาโดยรวมคือพี่มากต้องไปเป็นทหารรับใช้ชาติ ระหว่างที่พี่มากไม่อยู่แม่นาคก็ตายทั้งกลมกลายเป็นผีและเฝ้ารอพี่มากจนทำให้คนทั่วพระโขนงต่างหวาดกลัว เมื่อเสร็จการเป็นทหารพี่มากเดินทางกลับมาพระโขนงพร้อมเพื่อนอีก 4 คน พี่มากก็อยู่กินกับแม่นาคตามปกติ โดยไม่รู้เลยว่าแม่นาคได้ตายไปแล้ว จนความจริงปรากฏขึ้นว่าแม่นาคเป็นผี เพื่อนๆพยายามบอกความจริง แต่ก็มีการสอดแทรกเนื้อหาที่ทำให้คิดว่าคนที่เป็นผีอาจไม่ใช่แม่นาค จนในที่สุดก็เฉลยอีกครั้งว่าแท้จริงแล้วตัวพี่มากนั้นรู้ความจริงตั้งแต่แรกๆแล้วว่าแม่นาคเป็นผีแต่แกล้งทำเป็นไม่รู้เพื่อจะอยู่กับคนที่ตนเองรัก
