การศึกษาครั้งนี้เป็นการศึกษาเชิงพรรณนา (Descriptive study) โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยด้านคุณลักษณะส่วนบุคคล ความรู้ แรงสนับสนุนทางสังคม และพฤติกรรมการดูแลตนเองของผู้ป่วยความดันโลหิตสูงที่อยู่ในเขตตำบลโคกเจริญ อำเภอทับปุด จังหวัดพังงา และเพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างปัจจัยคุณลักษณะส่วนบุคคล ความรู้ แรงสนับสนุนทางสังคมกับพฤติกรรมการดูแลตนเองของผู้ป่วยโรคความดันโลหิตสูงในเขตตำบลโคกเจริญ อำเภอทับปุด จังหวัดพังงา จำนวน 159 คน เก็บข้อมูลโดยการใช้แบบสอบถาม
