การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อทราบ 1) ความสำเร็จของโรงเรียนมาตรฐานสากล สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา 2) ความคิดเห็นของผู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องต่อความสำเร็จของโรงเรียนมาตรฐานสากลสังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา 3) แนวทางการพัฒนาไปสู่ความสำเร็จของโรงเรียนมาตรฐานสากลสังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษา เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยเป็นแบบสอบถาม ตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ ครั้งนี้ คือ โรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา จำนวน 31 โรงเรียน ผู้ให้ข้อมูลแต่ละโรงเรียนประกอบด้วย ฝ่ายบริหารสถานศึกษา(ผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียน หรือ รองผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียน หรือคณะกรรมการบริหารโรงเรียน ครูผู้สอน และคณะกรรมการสถานศึกษาซึ่งเป็นบุคคลภายนอก รวมทั้งสิ้น 186 คน สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิต ( ) และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) การวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา (content analysis)
ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ ดังนี้
1. ความสำเร็จของโรงเรียนมาตรฐานสากล สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมากและรายด้านอยู่ในระดับมากทุกด้าน โดยเรียงลำดับจากค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิตมากไปน้อย ดังนี้ ด้านหลักสูตรและการจัดการเรียนการสอน ด้านการบริหารจัดการด้วยระบบคุณภาพ และด้านผู้เรียน ตามลำดับ
2. ผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องมีความคิดเห็นว่าผู้เรียนมีความเป็นพลโลก มีทักษะชีวิต และมีทักษะในการสื่อสาร มีคุณธรรมจริยธรรม สามารถอยู่ร่วมกับผู้อื่นได้อย่างมีความสุขทั้งนี้การจัดการเรียนการสอนในโรงเรียนมาตรฐานสากล ประสบความสำเร็จเนื่องจากเน้นคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ของผู้เรียนเป็นสำคัญ ซึ่งครูผู้สอนมีการจัดการเรียนการสอนอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพเพื่อส่งเสริมให้ผู้เรียนมีศักยภาพเป็นพลโลก เพราะคุณภาพของครูมีผลต่อความสำเร็จของโรงเรียนมาตรฐานสากล ตลอดจนการมีผู้นำองค์กรที่มีประสิทธิภาพในการบริหารจัดการด้วยเพราะบทบาทของผู้บริหารสำคัญที่สุดต่อความสำเร็จของโรงเรียนมาตรฐานสากล
3. ผู้ให้ข้อมูลให้แนวทางอย่างหลากหลาย เช่น มีการจัดทำวิสัยทัศน์ เป้าประสงค์ของโรงเรียนให้สอดคล้องกับโรงเรียนมาตรฐานสากล ควรจัดอบรมความรู้ด้านต่างๆให้แก่ครู ให้เป็นสากล และผู้บริหารควรบริหารจัดการด้านต่างๆให้มีประสิทธิภาพ เป็นต้น
