การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสภาพบริบทการทำเกษตรและสังคมเกษตรของชาวบ้าน ตำบลไร่อ้อย อำเภอพิชัย จังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ เพื่อศึกษาความเสี่ยง และความเปราะบางของระบบเกษตรและสังคมเกษตรต่อผลกระทบจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศของชาวบ้าน ตำบลไร่อ้อย อำเภอพิชัย จังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ เพื่อศึกษาแนวทางการปรับตัวของระบบเกษตรและสังคมเกษตรต่อผลกระทบจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศของชาวบ้าน ตำบลไร่อ้อย อำเภอพิชัย จังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ ตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษาได้แก่ เกษตรกรในพื้นที่ จำนวน 374 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ประกอบด้วย แบบสอบถาม แบบสัมภาษณ์ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ, ค่าเฉลี่ย, ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ผลการศึกษาดังนี้
1.สภาพบริบทของชุมชนท้องถิ่นมีการทำการเกษตรค่อนข้างมากและมีความเสี่ยงสูงที่จะเกิดปัญหาอุปสรรคในการทำการเกษตรที่สภาวะอากาศแปรปรวนเห็นด้วยในระดับมาก
2.ความเสี่ยงและความเปราะบางของระบบเกษตรและสังคมเกษตรต่อผลกระทบจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศของชาวบ้าน ตำบลไร่อ้อย อำเภอพิชัย จังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ พบว่าในภาพรวม ความเสี่ยงและความเปราะบางของระบบเกษตรอยู่ในระดับมาก
3.แนวทางการปรับตัวของระบบเกษตรและสังคมเกษตรต่อผลกระทบจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศของชาวบ้านว่าควรมีการส่งเสริมการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพแปรปรวนซึ่งทำให้เกษตรกรหันไปประกอบอาชีพอื่นควรผลักดันการส่งเสริมเรื่องการใช้สารเคมีในสภาพอากาศแปรปรวนซึ่งจะทำให้มีผลกระทบต่อระบบเกษตร
