การค้นคว้าอิสระในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาเปรียบเทียบพฤติกรรมสร้างสรรค์นวัตกรรมและพฤติกรรมเชิงรุกระหว่างวิศวกรที่มีระดับแนวโน้มเอียงทางบวกและหน่วยงานสังกัดที่แตกต่างกัน โดยใช้กลุ่มตัวอย่างประกอบด้วยวิศวกรของการไฟฟ้าฝ่ายผลิตแห่งประเทศไทยที่ทำงานในโรงงฟ้าแม่เมาะและเหมืองแม่เมาะ จำนวน 273 ราย การเลือกตัวอย่างกระทำโดยใช้การสุ่มแบบแบ่งชั้นภูมิตามสัดส่วน (proportional stratified sampling) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ประกอบด้วย แบบสอบถามลักษณะทางประชากร แบบวัดแนวโน้มเอียงทางบวก แบบวัดพฤติกรรมสร้างสรรค์นวัตกรรม และแบบวัดพฤติกรรมเชิงรุก การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลกระทำโดยใช้สถิติบรรยาย (descriptive statistics) เพื่อบรรยายลักษณะส่วนบุคคลของกลุ่มตัวอย่าง และการวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนพหุคูณทางเดียว (one-way MANOVA) เพื่อทดสอบสมมติฐานของการวิจัย
