ประเพณีแซนโฎนตานั้น มีมาตั้งแต่สมัยโบราณ ปัจจุบันนี้ก็ยังคงมีประเพณีนี้อยู่ให้เห็น แต่วัยรุ่นสมัยใหม่นั้นยังไม่มีความรู้พื้นฐานเกี่ยวกับประเพณีแซนโฎนตาเลย คณะผู้จัดทำจึงได้มีความคิดทำโครงงานนี้ขึ้นมา เพื่อให้ผู้คนวัยรุ่นสมัยใหม่ได้มีความรู้เกี่ยวกับประเพณีแซนโฎนตา ที่มาของประเพณีว่ามีความเป็นมาอย่างไร เพื่อที่จะได้สืบทอดต่อไปให้คนรุ่นหลังได้สืบสานประเพณีนี้ไว้ให้คงอยู่กับจังหวัดของเรา ซึ่งโครงงานเล่มนี้มีเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับ ประวัติ ความเป็นมา อุปกรณ์ในการเซ่นไหว้ ผู้จัดทำจึงได้เลือกหัวข้อนี้ขึ้นมาเพื่อให้คนรุ่นหลังได้สืบสานประเพณีแซนโฎนตาของบรรพบุรุษของเราให้คงอยู่คู่จังหวัดของเรา ดังนั้น ผู้จัดทำจึงอยากจะนำประเพณีแซนโฎนตามาศึกษาค้นคว้าเพื่อสืบสานประเพณีต่อไป
