กลวิธีการอ่านโฆษณา
โฆษณาย่อย หรือที่เรียกเป็นภาษาอังกฤษว่า Classified advertisements, Classified ads,
small ads or want ads หมายถึง โฆษณาเล็ก ๆ น้อย ๆ เกี่ยวกับสินค้าแลบริการต่าง ๆ โดยจัดพิมพ์แยกเป็นหมวดหรือประเภท ซึ่งมีการใช้ภาษาที่แตกต่างออกไปจากงานเขียนในลักษณะอื่น ๆ คือ มีลักษณะสั้นกระชับ มักใช้ค าพูดที่ติดปาก ( Catch phrase ) ตัวอักษรที่สะดุดตาและดึงดูดใจผู้อื่น ซึ่งการอ่านโฆษณาเหล่านี้ นักศึกษาไม่จ าเป็นต้องการทุกตัวอักษร แต่ควรอ่านแบบกวาดสายตาด้วยความรวดเร็ว เมื่อพบหมดโฆษณาที่ต้องการแล้วจึงอ่านเจาะลงไปในรายละเอียด ส าหรับชื่อของหมวดโฆษณาต่าง ๆ ก็จะต่างกันออกไปในหนังสือพิมพ์แต่ละฉบับ ถ้านักศึกษาเปิดอ่านเป็นประจ าก็จะสามารถหาข้อมูลได้อย่างรวดเร็ว ส าหรับประเภทของโฆษณาย่อย ที่พบได้ทั่ว ๆ ไปมีดังนี้
1. for sale ประกาศขายสินค้าต่าง ๆ
2. car for sale / auto ประกาศขายรถยนต์
3. wanted ประกาศแจ้งความจ านง เช่น ต้องการพนักงานขาย
4. employment / position vacant ประกาศรับสมัครบุคลากรเข้าทำงาน
