1) To provide advice and guidance in matters relating to safety and health.
(2) To investigate accidents and submit reports.
(3) To conduct safety meetings and site inspections.
(4) To ensure compliance with provisions of the Factories Act and the Building Operations and Works of Engineering Constructions Regulation.
(5) To liaise and maintain contacts with Government Bodies Le. MRTA in matters
pertaining to health and safety of employees.
(6) To run safety training sessions.
(7) To co-ordinate with Section Managers and Supervisors for the enforcement of safety discipline and regulations.
(8) To organize safety promotional activities to sustain interest in safety.
(9) To keep the Management informed of the safety performance on site.
(10) To perform other related duties as per gazette in the Factories Registration and Duties of Safety Officers Regulations.
(11) To establish and maintain first-aid stations
