อนุสาวรีย์ท้าวสุรนารี ( ย่าโม )

อยู่ในอำเภอเมือง สร้างขึ้นเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2476 ตั้งอยู่หน้าซุ้มประตูชุมพล ซึ่งเป็นประตูเมืองเก่าทางด้านทิศตะวันตก อนุสาวรีย์หล่อด้วยทองแดงรมดำ สูง 1.85 เมตร แต่งกายด้วยเครื่องยศพระราชทาน มือขวากุมดาบ ที่ฐานอนุสาวรีย์มีอัฐิของท่านบรรจุไว้ภายใน

ท้าว สุรนารี ย่าโม มีนามเดิมว่า "คุณหญิงโม" เป็นภริยาปลัดเมืองนครราชสีมา ท่านสร้างวีรกรรมไว้แก่ชาติไทยเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2369 โดยได้รวบรวมชาวบ้านเข้าสู้รบต่อต้านกองทัพของเจ้าอนุวงศ์แห่งเวียงจันทน์ ไม่ให้มาตีกรุงเทพฯ เป็นผลสำเร็จ พระบาทสมเด็จพระนั่งเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวจึงโปรดเกล้าฯ แต่งตั้งคุณหญิงโมเป็น "ท้าวสุรนารี" มีการจัดงานเฉลิมฉลองวันแห่งชัยชนะของท้าวสุรนารีระหว่างวันที่ 23 มีนาคม ถึงวันที่ 3 เมษายนของทุกปี
