การศึกษาเรื่องความพึงพอใจที่มีต่อการลงทะเบียนเรียนแบบอิสระ (Free Enrollment System) ของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงรายในครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาความพึงพอใจของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงราย ที่มีต่อการลงทะเบียนเรียนแบบอิสระ ประจำปีการศึกษา 2556 2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบความพึงพอใจของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงราย ที่มีต่อการลงทะเบียนเรียนแบบอิสระ (Free Enrollment System) โดยจำแนกตามคณะวิชา และ 3) เพื่อศึกษาปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการลงทะเบียนเรียนแบบอิสระ ของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงราย ผู้วิจัยได้แบ่งความพึงพอใจออกเป็น 3 ด้าน ได้แก่ ความพึงพอใจด้านการประชาสัมพันธ์ ความพึงพอใจด้านระบบการลงทะเบียนเรียนแบบอิสระ และความพึงพอใจด้านการให้บริการ โดยได้กลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 400 คน ที่มาจากการสุ่มตัวอย่างจากนักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 1 ปีที่ 2 และ
ปีที่ 3 ที่ลงทะเบียนเรียนประจำปีการศึกษา 2556 เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บข้อมูลคือแบบสอบถาม และการวิเคราะห์ผลการศึกษาโดยสถิติเชิงพรรณนา เช่น ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าร้อยละ ค่าความถี่ และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ส่วนการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับความคิดเห็นและข้อเสนอแนะอื่นๆ ได้รวบรวม สรุปแล้วนำเสนอผลของข้อมูลที่ได้
