ดีซีโวลต์มิเตอร์ คือ มิเตอร์วัดแรงดันไฟตรง (DC VOLTAGE) ในการใช้ดีซีโวลต์วัดแรงดันไฟตรง จะต้องต่อดีซีโวลต์มิเตอร์วัดคร่อมขนานกับโหลดที่ต้องการวัดแรงดัน ขั้วของดีซีโวลต์มิเตอร์ที่จะต่อวัดคร่อมโหลด ต้องมีขั้วเหมือนแรงดันที่ตกคร่อมโหลด โดยใช้หลักการวัดดังนี้ ใกล้บวกใส่บวก ใกล้ลบใส่ลบ คือโหลดขาใดรับแรงดันใกล้ขั้วบวก (+) ของแหล่งจ่าย ก็ใช้ขั้วบวก (+) ของดีซีโวลต์มิเตอร์วัด โหลดขาใดรับแรงดันใกล้ขั้วลบ (-) ของแหล่งจ่าย ก็ใช้ขั้วลบ (-) ของดีซีโวลต์มิเตอร์วัด
ดีซีโวลต์มิเตอร์ มีทั้งหมด 7 ย่าน คือ 0.1 V, 0.5V, 2.5V, 10V, 50V, 250V และ 1,000V
มี 3 สเกล คือ 0~10, 0~50, 0~250 อ่านขีดสเกลที่อยู่ใต้กระจกเงา
