การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนา (Descriptive study) มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาระดับความสุขของนักศึกษาพยาบาลศาสตรบัณฑิต วิทยาลัยพยาบาลบรมราชชนนี สุราษฎร์ธานีและเพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อความสุข ประกอบไปด้วย เพศ อายุ ชั้นปีการศึกษา เกรดเฉลี่ย โรคประจำตัว เพื่อเป็นแนวทางในการพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตของนักศึกษาพยาบาลศาสตรบัณฑิต วิทยาลัยพยาบาลบรมราชชนนี สุราษฎร์ธานีที่กำลังศึกษาอยู่ในปีการศึกษา 2557 จำนวน 541 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยเป็นแบบประเมินดัชนีชี้วัดสุขภาพจิตคนไทยฉบับสมบูรณ์ 55 ข้อ (TMHI-55) ของกรมสุขภาพจิต ที่สร้างขึ้นเพื่อวัดความสามารถของบุคคล 4 ด้าน คือ ด้านสภาพจิตใจ ด้านสมรรถภาพของจิตใจ ด้านคุณภาพของจิตใจ และปัจจัยสนับสนุน แบบประเมิน ดังกล่าวมีการทดลองใช้กลับกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่มีลักษณะใกล้เคียงกับกลุ่มตัวอย่างจริง ซึ่งได้หาค่าความเชื่อมั่นของเครื่องมือโดยวิธีหาค่าสัมประสิทธ์ของครอบบาคเท่ากับ .88
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า นักศึกษาพยาบาลวิทยาลัยพยาบาลบรมราชชนนี สุราษฎร์ธานี มีระดับความสุขอยู่ในเกณฑ์ปกติ คือ ค่าเฉลี่ยของระดับความสุขเท่ากับ 78.75 เมื่อพิจารณาจำแนกตามชั้นปีการศึกษา พบว่า ทุกชั้นปีการศึกษาอยู่ในเกณฑ์ปกติ และเมื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อระดับความสุข พบว่า เพศ อายุ เกรดเฉลี่ย และโรคประจำตัว ไม่ได้ส่งผลต่อระดับความสุข ส่วนปัจจัยด้านชั้นปีการศึกษาของกลุ่มประชากรส่งผลต่อระดับความสุขอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05
