ผลการทดสอบความรู้ของกลุ่มตัวอย่างประชาชนที่อาศัยอยู่บริเวณตำบลเพ จำนวน 55 คน ด้วยแบบวัดความรู้เกี่ยวกับน้ำมันดิบรั่วไหล คะแนนเต็ม 10 คะแนน พบว่า มีคะแนนเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 6.36 คะแนน มีค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน เท่ากับ 2.21 โดยมีผู้ทดสอบผ่านเกณฑ์ (ร้อยละ 70) ของคะแนนเต็มจำนวน 40 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 52.73 แสดงว่าประชาชนส่วนใหญ่ยังมีความรู้ไม่เพียงพอเกี่ยวกับน้ำมันดิบรั่วไหลและวิธีการปฏิบัติตัวที่เหมาะสมเพื่อรับมือกับสถานการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้น
