วิจัยนี้มีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อ 1) เพื่อศึกษาสภาพการจัดการคัดแยกขยะมูลฝอยในโรงเรียนท่าขอนยางพิทยาคม 2) เพื่อจัดการฝึกอบรมการจัดการคัดแยกขยะมูลฝอย 3) เพื่อศึกษาและเปรียบเทียบความรู้และทัศนคติต่อการคัดแยกขยะมูลฝอยก่อนและหลังการฝึกอบรม กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ศึกษาวิจัย คือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1/2 โรงเรียนท่าขอนยางพิทยาคม จำนวน 30 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบสัมภาษณ์การคัดแยกขยะมูลฝอย คู่มือการคัดแยกขยะมูลฝอย แบบสอบถามความรู้และแบบวัดทัศนคติต่อการคัดแยกขยะมูลฝอย สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล คือ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานและ Paired t-test จากการศึกษา พบว่า เป็นไปตามสมมติฐานการวิจัย หลังการฝึกอบรมการคัดแยกขยะมูลฝอยผู้เข้าร่วมฝึกอบรมมีความรู้และทัศนคติเพิ่มมากขึ้นกว่าก่อนการฝึกอบรมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 แสดงให้เห็นว่าการฝึกอบรมการคัดแยกขยะมูลฝอยมีผลทำให้ความรู้และทัศนคติของนักเรียนโรงเรียนท่าขอนยางพิทยาคมเพิ่มขึ้น
